【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthedensityorrelativedensityofcrudeoilsthatcanbehandledinanormalfashionasliquidsattesttemperaturesbetween15and35C.Thistestmethodappliestocrudeoilswithhighvaporpressuresprovidedappropriateprecautionsaretakentopreventvaporlossduringtransferofthesampletothedensityanalyzer.Thistestmethodwasevaluatedinroundrobintestingusingcrudeoilsinthe0.75to0.95g/mLrange.Lightercrudeoilcanrequirespecialhandlingtopreventvaporlosses.Heaviercrudescanrequiremeasurementsathighertemperaturestoeliminateairbubblesinthesample.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theacceptedunitsofmeasurementofdensityaregramspermillilitreandkilogramspercubicmetre.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificwarningstatementsaregivenin7.4,7.5,and7.6.
